Investor-relations.blogspot.com

All investor relations content is now at Investor-relations.blogspot.com

Since I posted about once a month anyway, I did not think I needed three blogs. So, I am focusing on one: Investor-relations.blogspot.com

As a new tenure-track Assistant Professor, I am sure I will have a lot of free time for blogging :)

Anyway, visit me at: Investor-relations.blogspot.com

Preliminary data

As promised, here is the data from the survey. Fell free to post any questions or comments.

Once again, thank you to everyone who participated (33% response rate is so much better than I could’ve ever hoped)!

Also, I am planning to have my dissertation defended this summer. Then, the whole document with all the data and analysis will be available on the University of Florida Library’s web site. I will probably post a link to it as well – so, ask for it in August or check back here. However, it will be a long 200-plus academic document. If NIRI or other professional organizations are interested, I will be happy to write a shorter practitioner-oriented summary. I will, then, also post a link here.

Click here for the data report.

Dissertation is done!

Today I crossed the last t and dotted the last i :) The dissertation is completed. Now it goes off to my committee and I can finally put together a short summary of the results for my survey participants as I promised.

Coming soon…

NIRI sent me the data!

Well, I was wrong that I did not expect NIRI to help me in any way. I needed to compare the respondents of my survey with an average NIRI member to see if I can generalize to the population. And today NIRI sent me the general data about its membership. So, now I can compare the sample of my study with an “average” NIRI member. Back to data analysis…

IR Blogs

While writing the intro section of my dissertation, I was looking for mentions of investor relations on the Web. Well, I found some interesting recent discussions on this blog. And also found some interesting discussions on former NIRI Seattle chapter officer’s blog.

Survey completed

I closed the survey for data collection. The response rate was better than I expected – despite the fact that I did not even use NIRI name in my letter to the participants.

The response rate is over 33%. That’s more than NIRI’s own membership surveys!

Well, now it is time for the data analysis…

Another new blog….

This blog is being created to share the results of the Investor Relations Research project with the participants.
